Stars go green

November 27, 2007

On Monday night we caught the first of four Stars shows at the Phoenix in Toronto, and while checking out the merch were thrilled to see the band promoting the “greening” of their tour.

The Montreal indie rockers joined forces with Reverb and NativeEnergy to offset the carbon dioxide emissions generated by their tour vehicles and hotel accommodations and the energy consumed during their shows.

Stars also hopes to urge fans into action by giving them an opportunity to donate and offset emissions generated in getting to and from their shows. Your $5 donation can neutralize the CO2 created by over 240 kilometres of driving and will support Reverb’s mission to green the music industry.

Sound like a good plan? We think so.
