Green wedding show
February 12, 2008
A wedding is one of the most important events in many people’s lives. Why not integrate your green principles into the big day? Let the Eco Wedding & Lifestyle Show - Canada’s first green wedding convention - inspire you to create a stylish and sustainable wedding. On March 1 and 2 at the Design Exchange in Toronto, check out wedding and lifestyle vendors with a commitment to the environment.
In Canada, weddings are still in their “green” infancy, but the demand is growing for more organic and eco-friendly options, specifically in Toronto. The event will feature eco-friendly fashion shows and mini seminars on topics that include real estate, green renovations, food and wine pairings, DIY invitations and more.
“We aim to help couples make informed and sustainable decisions in all of these areas,” says show producer Jaye Marsh Graham. “This is a chance for couples to meet both non-traditional vendors who offer these alternatives, and established, traditional vendors who are excited about the changes they are making to create a sustainable model.”
Show vendors include Whole Foods, Plantatree Wine, Eco Flora, LPK’s Culinary Groove, CarbonZero, Toronto Botanical Gardens, The Richmond, Merchants of Green Coffee and Bullfrog Power. Tickets are available at the door or online at www.ecoweddingshow.com.
