Volunteer for Nature

June 4, 2008

Join Volunteer for Nature participants and Friends of the Don East for a native wildflower planting in Taylor Creek Park this Sunday, June 8 at 10am. Participants will observe the ongoing work to revitalize the East Don River and lend a hand by planting native trees and wildflowers.

Ontario Nature’s Volunteer for Nature program was established in 2001 in partnership with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). Volunteer for Nature events are scheduled across the province this year and are tailored for people of all ages and skill levels ( www.ontarionature.org/action).

Ontario Nature is a non-profit charity that works to protect and restore natural habitats through research, education and conservation. It connects thousands of individuals and communities with nature through various conservation groups across the province. For more information, visit www.ontarionature.org.
