Green business cards

While mulling the possibility of having business cards made for our Living Green sites, we got to thinking: the very concept of a business card is likely to become a thing of the past. In the meantime, recognizing that the “greenest” version of a business card is digital rather than tangible, we set out to explore the available alternatives anyway.

Artscape is pleased to announce that applications for their Green Arts Barns work-only studios and rent-geared-to-income live/work studios for professional artists are now available. Tenants of the Green Arts Barns will contribute to the creative synergy, imagination and community that will transform Toronto’s historic Wychwood TTC Streetcar Repair Barns in the St. Clair and Bathurst neighbourhood into a model for innovative creative redevelopment in North America.
Stars go green

On Monday night we caught the first of four Stars shows at the Phoenix in Toronto, and while checking out the merch were thrilled to see the band promoting the “greening” of their tour.

Greening Toronto challenges post-secondary students in the Toronto area to take a green leap forward and imagine what it might be like to live in an ecologically sustainable metropolis. In 2008, half of the Earth’s population, and 80% of Canadians, will live in urban areas. Healthy, vibrant cities are only possible if people are engaged in transforming their urban communities into places where they want to live.
